The membership of Junior League of Evansville® (JLE) includes women who are trained to act as committed volunteers–who collaborate with nonprofits who partner with us in accordance with our mission, vision, and our continued efforts to provide positive activities which serve what we have identified as a lasting issue-based community impact. Done in a Days (DIADs) are volunteer activities which can be completed in one day for not-for-profit organizations in the Evansville area.  Junior League members have worked over 1750 volunteer hours for Done in a Day projects. Our League also has awarded small DIAD grants–providing the funding for materials and supplies as well as the workforce to complete a larger scale project for a not-for-profit organization in one day. JLE volunteers have painted children’s activity rooms, provided nutritional education for children, created publications for victims of domestic violence, served as mentors building teen self-esteem, renovated gyms and classrooms, as well as landscaped in addition to the funding that was awarded to underwrite these projects. The past recipients of our Done in a Day grants included the YWCA, Potters Wheel, Evansville Psychiatric Children’s Center, Easter Seals. Ark Crisis Prevention Nursery, St. John the Apostle Church S.O.U.L. Empowerment, Evansville Christian Life Center, Little Lambs of Evansville, Inc., and many more.

Done in a Day Volunteer Requests

If your organization is interested in applying for a volunteer request (with no financial assistance), please CLICK HERE  to submit the required information.  We will review your request once submitted.

Please submit this application at least 60 days in advance of the volunteer shifts needed.  This will assist our members in effectively managing their time and completing volunteer hours. This will also assist your organization with planning your projects and ensuring volunteers are notified of your event in a timely manner thereby increasing the number of possible volunteers. We do not promise volunteers even if this request is approved.  The membership will be notified of the opportunity and can volunteer if they would like.
